UNIT 1 · LESSON 1 · 60-MINUTE SUGGESTED PLAN

AI या तय नियम?

Compare familiar tools without assuming every digital tool is AI.

Understand

A timer rings after exactly ten minutes. A photo app groups pictures using patterns learned from examples. Both are digital tools, but their decision processes differ. A fixed instruction is not, by itself, evidence of machine learning. Real products can combine rules and learned models.

Original classroom scenario / sample claim
A sample answer says: “Every app that works automatically uses machine learning.”

Try it and check it

  1. Sort a timer, calculator, recommendation feed and image classifier into rule-based, learned or uncertain.
  2. Write the reason for two choices. If the mechanism is not described, mark it uncertain.
  3. Compare the claim with the definitions in the supplied explanation.
  4. Rewrite the claim and list what extra information would let you classify an unknown app.
Without a device: Print this lesson, use paper cards or the supplied fictional text, and discuss the checks in pairs. A student can later enter their own notebook record for teacher review when a device is available.

Notebook: write your corrected or unresolved conclusion, the evidence you actually checked, and a reflection. Do not include passwords, identity documents or private information. Original BrainCheck companion content, BCAI-v1.
