UNIT 5 · LESSON 20 · 60-MINUTE SUGGESTED PLAN

अपना verification portfolio बनाएँ

Combine claim checking, correction, sources and reflection.

Understand

A verification portfolio shows how your thinking changed. Include the original claim, checks performed, sources actually consulted, corrected conclusion and remaining uncertainty. If a claim cannot be settled, explain what evidence is missing. Completion should reflect reviewed work, not time spent with a page open.

Original classroom scenario / sample claim
Choose one of the fictional claims from this course. Prepare a final evidence record suitable for a teacher to review.

Try it and check it

  1. Quote or paraphrase the chosen sample claim and identify its checkable parts.
  2. Use a calculation, provided text or a relevant textbook to check it.
  3. Write the corrected or unresolved conclusion and a genuine source reference.
  4. Reflect on one mistake you avoided and one further check you would do.
Without a device: Print this lesson, use paper cards or the supplied fictional text, and discuss the checks in pairs. A student can later enter their own notebook record for teacher review when a device is available.

Notebook: write your corrected or unresolved conclusion, the evidence you actually checked, and a reflection. Do not include passwords, identity documents or private information. Original BrainCheck companion content, BCAI-v1.
