Consent और purpose

Ask permission and limit the intended use of information.

Name: ____________________ Class: ______ Date: __________

Being able to access a file does not automatically mean you may upload it elsewhere. Permission should relate to a clear purpose. Someone agreeing to classroom discussion may not have agreed to public posting or processing by an external tool. This lesson teaches responsible judgement, not legal advice.

A student says: “My friend showed me their notebook, so I can upload photos of it to any AI service without asking.”
  1. Distinguish looking at a notebook from uploading it to another service.
  2. List whose information might appear in the photos.
  3. Write a permission question that states the intended use.
  4. Suggest a fictional or self-written example that avoids sharing the notebook.

Quick check

What is the best first step before uploading a friend’s work?

○ Assume access means unlimited permission

○ Ask about the specific use and consider a non-personal alternative

○ Post it publicly first

○ Hide the upload from the friend

My reasoning, uncertainty and reflection

Use fictional/non-personal examples. Public worksheet; save or submit work only through your own notebook. Suggested 60-minute activity. Not an official NCERT/CBSE assessment or certificate.
